Please join us for this first-time Kite Fly at Waupaca Municipal Airport, which has all the makings of a large annual event. The event is hosted by the Waupaca Area Public Library in partnership with the airport as part of the library’s East Asian themed spring/summer program. The library is anticipating 300 children will participate in kite making, and they are buying 300 kids kite kits from our club, so we’ll want to help facilitate this activity in one of the hangars. Bottled water and subs will be provided to club members for lunch.
Libraries are well networked, and this opportunity came through Waupaca Area Public Library’s connection with the Berlin Public Library Summer. Our own Ed Grys will be engaging the Berlin Public Library with a presentation and kids kite building for its summer reading program, Tails and Tales, in July.
